Admissions Requirements

To enroll in the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program at East Bay CNA Academy, applicants must meet the following requirements in accordance with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) guidelines and clinical site policies.

At East Bay CNA Academy, we make the enrollment process simple and easy to follow. Our team will walk you through each step before class begins.

Basic Admission Requirements

  • To enroll in the CNA program, students must:

  • Be at least 16 years old

  • Provide a valid government-issued photo ID

  • Complete the enrollment application and required school forms

  • Be able to attend all required classroom, skills lab, and clinical training hours


Required Before Clinical Training

Before students begin clinical training, the following items must be completed or submitted:

  • Physical exam or health clearance

  • TB test results

  • Immunization records

  • Live Scan/background clearance, if required by CDPH or the clinical facility

  • Current CPR/BLS certification

  • CPR/BLS certification is completed separately and must be submitted before clinical placement.
